Lessons from a Pilgrim Life
Lessons from a Pilgrim Life is for “us” modern folks who want to re-discover the incredible benefits found in the ancient art and practice of Christian pilgrimage. We will start our time together sharing tales of our
storied journey of life by creating time lines of significant milestones of life. Following this will be an
exploration of the characteristics of life as a pilgrimage, focusing on the importance of hospitality, character, the land, importance of strangers, companionship, prayer and contemplation, music & art and the rituals of pilgrimage.
Date: Saturday March 5th
Time: 9:00am – 3:00pm
Cost: $60 per person

Camino Madrid!

Camino Madrid Pilgrimage! Have you wanted to walk the Camino de Santiago de Compostela? Join us this May 21-31, 2015 to walk from Valladolid to Moratinos, Spain. The "Madrid Camino" is one of the many pathways that lead people to Santiago de Compostela. This is a 65 mile pilgrimage that will take us four nights and five days. Rough costs at this point: airfare is between $1,000 to $1,200 to Madrid (each person is responsible for getting her or his ticket), and food and lodging will be roughly $600-700. Need to know if you're committed by March 31, 2015 with $50 deposit made out to the School of the Pilgrim, www.schoolofthepilgrim.com.

Pilgrimage across the nation, and Pilgrimage at St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church

The pilgrimage of racing across the nation from Tue., Nov. 25, leaving Chapel Hill for Asheville, then Asheville to Jefferson City, TN, then off to Blue Springs, MO, to Rawlins, WY to Portland, OR...Phew!  Stories and pics coming!

Now a pilgrimage has begun at St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church in Portland, OR.  Stories coming soon!

Step by step, day by day, and we're off!

Moving!

All right, pilgrims!  I'm moving.  It is time to move to Portland, Oregon!  I'm the new interim head of staff at St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church, Portland, OR!  Come and visit.

Dean will stay here and tend to the home we own.  Adrianne and her husband, Scott, are moving to Weaverville, and Parker is finishing up at UNC-W.

The pilgrimage continues anon!
